MISSION

The mission of G-HEDA (pronounced Gee-hee’-Da) is to provide world class consulting advice to support the higher education goals of institutions outside the United States.  These may be public or private, large or small, longstanding or fledgling, secular or faith-based.  In each case G-HEDA builds on the long time experience and combined professional networks of the founding partners, Dr. Paul Corts and Dr. Jim Mannoia, to provide both onsite and online advising services across the full spectrum of university planning, operations, and governance.

SERVICES
  1. Administrative Reviews: G-HEDA offers short and medium term consultancies for review of senior administrative systems in universities in the U.S. and abroad.  Drawing on the extensive experience of the two principals, both in higher education and government, reviews can be conducted to provide external perspective and improvement of administrative structures and personnel.

  2. Governance:  G-HEDA provides evaluation and recommendations regarding institutional governance policies, including board composition, selection, and ongoing evaluative policies as well as board policies for institutional oversight.

  3. Capacity Building: G-HEDA partners with institutional officers to help identify channels and tools for identification of suitable staff worldwide to fill faculty and administrative positions.

  4. Strategic Planning: G-HEDA offers initial advice on the broad direction for an institutional strategic planning process and occasional ongoing “tune-ups” as the process unfolds.

  5. Curriculum: G-HEDA offers short term consultancy to guide the general framing of programs in general education, especially in the liberal arts.

  6. Partnerships: G-HEDA offers advice on a retainer basis for identifying, soliciting, framing, and establishing partnerships with other institutions for both curricular and administrative cooperation.  For this, the two principals draw on their wide network of relationships as well as their extensive familiarity with other institutions.

  7. Mentoring: G-HEDA offers coaching either on a fixed short or longer term basis.  In consultation with the client, the principals may elect to perform this service themselves, or identify others to do it from within their large personal networks within higher education.
